The Omega-3 Index is a simple blood test that measures the levels of two important omega-3 fats—EPA and DHA—in your red blood cells. These healthy fats, found mainly in fatty fish like salmon and sardines, play an important role in heart health, brain function, and reducing inflammation. Research shows that an Omega-3 Index between 8–12% is associated with a lower risk of heart disease and other chronic conditions, while most people in Western countries fall around 4–5%. If your level is low, it can usually be improved by eating more omega-3–rich fish or taking a high-quality fish oil or algae-based supplement regularly.

Analytical Research Labs offers a hair tissue mineral analysis, which is a screening test for evaluating the levels of 20 minerals and toxic metals in a hair sample. This analysis provides essential information related to nutrition and mineral ratios specific to an individual's current state of health. ARL is a reputable authority in the field of hair tissue mineral analysis, known for its experience and expertise in this area. The analysis is conducted by analyzing a sample of hair, making it a non-invasive and informative way to assess mineral imbalances and toxic metal exposure. ARL is one of only two laboratories that do not wash the hair at the laboratory. Washing hair samples at the laboratory has been shown to erratically wash out the water-soluble elements. This creates much less accurate results. In a 2001 study in the Journal of the AMA (Seidel, S. et al., Assessment of Commercial Laboratories Performing Hair Mineral Analysis, JAMA, 285(1) Jan 3:67-72.) the two laboratories that did not wash the hair, of which we were one, showed superb reliability.
